PEABODY, MA – Congress Building Corp. and LCB Senior Living, LLC held a groundbreaking ceremony on January 21, 2014 for The Residence at Brookside, an Assisted Living, Independent Living and Memory Care residence being developed in Avon, CT.
Congress Building Corp., a full service construction firm headquartered in Peabody, MA will provide Construction Management services for the project, which will be owned and operated by LCB Senior Living, LLC of Norwood, MA.

“We are pleased to be providing construction services for LCB and the Residence at Brookside project. Our assisted living communities provide environments that promote healthy aging and have the kinds of amenities today’s active seniors expect. We are grateful for the support we have received from the town of Avon and happy to be filling a need for a community with lifestyle options for local seniors,” said Congress CEO William Nicholson.
Designed by The Architectural Team of Chelsea, MA, the new senior living community located at 117 Simsbury Road will feature 74 apartments, and common areas that include comfortable lounges, computer rooms, an exercise room, a courtyard for walking, an outdoor patio for seasonal dining, and other signature high standard amenities designed to keep residents engaged and active. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2015.
Independent Living apartments will have kitchenettes and private baths, and residents will enjoy 24-hour security, three gourmet meals a day prepared and served restaurant style, laundry and cleaning services availability, a full activities program and a variety of optional services.
Offering the same amenities as the Independent Living apartments, Assisted Living apartments are designed for those who would benefit from assistance with activities of daily living including bathing and dressing, medication reminders and other services as needed.
