SOUTH WINDSOR, CT – Congress Building Corp., a full service construction firm based in Peabody, Massachusetts, recently completed construction on The Residence at South Windsor Farms, a $13M, state-of-the-art senior living community in South Windsor, Connecticut. Located at 200 Deming Street, the new community features Assisted Living, Independent Living and Reflections Memory Care Living and offers residents a broad spectrum of services and amenities in an active, stimulating environment. Residents began moving in on March 1, 2015.
Owned and operated by LCB Senior Living, LLC, of Norwood, Massachusetts and designed by The Architectural Team of Chelsea, Massachusetts, the 66,000 square foot, three-story community was built in the Craftsman style and houses 80 apartments. The Residence features a country kitchen, open and enclosed porches, common living and dining rooms, group activity and lounge areas, an exercise room, a barber/beauty salon, and media room. Three gourmet meals are offered daily as well as a full activities program. Scheduled transportation services, laundry and cleaning services are also available. Apartments include kitchenettes and private bathrooms and assistance with the activities of daily living, including medication management, dressing and personal hygiene is offered to residents in the Assisted Living apartments.
The Reflections Memory Care program engages residents with early stage Alzheimer’s and other memory disorders in meaningful, therapeutic activities focused on their strengths and capabilities. The goal of the program is to help residents maintain a positive outlook and to prevent them from feeling limited by memory impairments.
“We are proud of the work we have accomplished with valued repeat client LCB, and the Architectural Team. We are highly appreciative of this ongoing relationship. The Residence at South Windsor Farms is a spectacular design, and a project that the entire team can be proud of. It represents the new state-of-the-art in Assisted Living design and construction. We wish LCB continued success as they open yet another quality project in a quality community. We’d also like to thank the town of South Windsor, Connecticut for their support and cooperation through the entitlement and construction process; we are appreciative of their efforts every step of the way as well,” noted William A. Nicholson, Congress CEO.
