CONGRESS COMPANIES LEND EXPERTISE TO HEALTH CARE CENTER EXPANSION

HOPE, NJ – The Congress Companies’ expertise in senior living and healthcare construction solutions has resulted in the successful expansion of Forest Manor Health Care Center, located in Hope, NJ.

“Our expertise in health care and senior living construction gave us the ability to know and understand exactly what Forest Manor’s tenant/operator, Elite Senior Living, needed,” said William Nicholson, CEO of The Congress Companies. “We designed, constructed, and brought equity to the project, and ultimately, delivered a completed health care facility that was a useful tool in meeting the demands of Elite Senior Living’s business plan.”

Under a Design-Build-Turnkey-Leaseback solution developed by Congress, the Forest Manor expansion project included the construction of a new, 55,000 square foot building and renovations to 12,000 existing square feet. The updated Forest Manor boasts 120 beds, a new, 24-bed Alzheimer’s and Memory Care wing designed using the latest scientific and medical principles, and a new, fullyequipped 2,500 square foot Rehabilitation and Therapy space.

“Elite Senior Living looked to us to develop a customized, oversized therapy space that would accommodate their physical and occupational therapy needs, as providing high quality rehab services and care are imperative to their success,” explained Nicholson. “We also provided cutting edge equipment and upscale interior finishes to attract their target market and quality census.”

Working closely with Elite Senior Living, Congress developed a custom-tailored, cost-effective solution covering the project in its entirety, from regulatory approvals, financing, and design to completed construction. “We provided design, development, and full Construction Management services for the Forest Manor project,” Nicholson noted. “We also brought equity to the project, purchased the facility, and then leased it back to the tenant.”
